Alaska Crusies - Cruise to Alaska

There are a lot of different places that you can travel when you are taking a cruise. My personal favorite is to go to the Caribbean and enjoy some exotic warm beach or to sit on the deck and take in the sunshine. There are other options, however, and if you are a frequent cruiser you may want to consider an Alaska Crusises. Now if the thought of being cold on a cruise doesn't appeal to you let me tell you what you are missing. Imagine standing on the deck of your luxury cruise ship in Alaska, watching as you travel between the glacier ice. Everything is white and beautiful. Suddenly a whale breaches the surface and an Eagle is flying overhead. At your port you take advantage of being in Alaska and you go on a great glacier excursion, either on a plane or on foot. It doesn't matter, Alaska Crusies are something that every cruiser should experience. But how do you get the best price on your cruise to Alaska?

The way that I always find a discount cruise, even if I go all the way to Alaska, is to search on one of the Internet travel search engines like sidestep or Travelocity. These sites will look for the best cruise deals that are available on your dates and then spit out a list of the best priced cruises. If you want to go on an Alaskan cruise then it will give you the results that you want. I then call my travel agent, who is a close personal friend, and see if they can secure something better at a greater discount. Of course it never hurts to call the cruise company direct to see if they can give you a bigger discount.

Alaska is a great place to take a cruise. While you may not get as much fun in the sun as you would in the Caribbean, you will certainly find that you are enjoying yourself as you sail through the cold waters on your Alaska cruise.
