3. Do the Bump - If you have a flexible schedule and are willing to take another flight at a later time then you should call ahead one day in advance to see if they are overbooked for the flight. If they are then you have a chance to be bumped if you are there early. You could walk away with a free ticket and some other cool stuff if they bump you.
