CheapHotel - Cheap Hotels Online
What I have learned over my years of travel is that cheap is not always a bad
thing. For instance a cheaphotel does not necessarily mean you are going to
be staying in a dive. It might just mean that you are getting it for a good
deal and that you will not be spending an arm and a leg to pay for your accommodations.
Since I have to travel or business routinely and I also enjoy vacationing with
my family, I have become the queen of discount vacation shopping. Now, don't
get me wrong, I like nice things just as much as the next person. However, if
I am going on a trip and know that I will be only in the hotel to sleep and
shower, I can forgo such things as an awesome view or room service to die for.
A cheaphotel can suffice in many instances.
The best place I have found to look for a cheap hotel is on the internet. I
typically use such sites as expedia or orbitz to compare hotel prices. There
are two things I look for when searching for hotel deals. The first is the reviews.
If a hotel continually gets negative reviews then I suggest you stay away from
it. You also have to know that one or two bad reviews dos not mean it is a horrible
hotel. You can't please everyone all of the time and the person who gave the
one bad review just might never be happy wherever they stay.
The second thing I look for is the area of the hotel. You want your hotel to
be convenient and in a safe location. I think that sometimes a cheaphotel gets
the reputation of being in a poor neighborhood, but this isn't always true.
If you don't know the area well consider checking with the local Chamber of
Commerce.
A great thing about searching for a cheaphotel on the internet is that you
can get great deals from really nice hotels which can throw a three or four
star hotel into the cheap category at times. I recommend doing research and
comparison shopping before settling on a hotel. An hour or two of research can
end up saving you a lot of money when you finally book your hotel.
